Rooibos “Organic”

Kodex 0812 Kategorie Tag

Rooibos tea (Aspalathus linearis) is considered the national drink in South Africa and is grown exclusively in the Cedar Mountains region around 200 kilometres north of Cape Town.It is a very variable shrub that grows to a height of 1 to 2 metres. Already more than 300 years ago, the inhabitants of the Cedar Mountains discovered that they could make a refreshing and very healthy drink from the needle-like leaves of rooibos. The processing has hardly changed over the decades. The cut branches are brought to the collection centre in bundles. The crop is chopped very finely and then crushed and moistened to start the fermentation process that leads to the typical colour and taste of rooibos tea. A naturally caffeine-free drink with a typical reddish-brown colour and a sweet, fruity aroma.

Ingredient from controlled organic cultivation: Rooibos.

Gluten-free, naturally lactose-free and caffeine-free, suitable for a vegan diet.

Processed and carefully packed in this special tea bag at the manufacturing unit in Brixen/South Tyrol (Italy).

This product is available in the upscaled catering industry only and not available on the foodstuff market.
