Probably the best-known traditionally produced green tea from China, flavoured with jasmine blossom. Jasmine flowers ripen in late summer and are harvested in the early morning when the flowers are closed. The flowers are stored in a cool place during the day. During the night, the calyxes open and release their fragrance into the tea on which they are spread. This is a very natural process of flavouring, which is completed after four days. The fine flavour of this jasmine tea is slightly sweet and strongly scented.
