Gunpowder is the best- known green tea from China and mainly manufactured in the province of Zhejiang. During the processing, the tea leaves are being rolled into small balls and the appearance reminds the balls of gunpowder. That´s were the name comes from. The leaves unfold in hot water and the result is a full- bodied, strong green tea with a slightly smoky flavour.
