Gunpowder is the best- known green tea from China and mainly manufactured in the province of Zhejiang. During the processing, the tea leaves are being rolled into small balls and the appearance reminds the balls of gunpowder. That´s where the name comes from. The leaves unfold in hot water and the result is a full- bodied, strong green tea with a slightly smoky flavour.

Preparing a pot of tea with loose product seems quite simple. But it is not, because you need a lot of experience and knowledge of the product to get the dosage right. The contents of this single packs are always adjusted after harvesting to make around 450 ml (one teapot) of perfectly dosed drink. The round paper is made of natural paper fibre without any additives.
